Digital Music

Discover a place where the music you love to hear plays non-stop right on your TV.

Press  on your remote. Then go to the channels in the 800s.
OR
Tune to channel 844 on your remote.

You'll find up to 55 channels of nothing but music – Country, Pop, Rock, Blues, Hip Hop, Classical and all that Jazz.

Favorites

Imagine the time you could save if you put all the channels you love watching in one special place. You can…

Press  on your remote.

Select Set up favorite channels, then press .

Create a list, then select  icon and add the channels you want to include.

To view your favorites:
While watching TV, press  on your remote to skip to your next Favorite channel on the current list.

From TV Listings or Mini Guide, press  on your remote to bring up a filtered guide of the channels in your last accessed list. Press  button again to scroll through all of your Favorite Lists.

From the Quick Menu select the  icon to bring up your Favorite Lists or create a new list.

Parental Control

What if a little help could drop in to check on what the kids are watching when you can’t be there? Meet the all seeing, family friendly, parental controls.

Parental Controls let you restrict viewing and purchases of TV programming based on your preferences. Set a personalized identification number and you can place locks on selected ratings, channels and titles. You can also hide adult titles from being displayed on screen.

Press  on your remote twice.

Highlight Parental Control on the TV Guide Main Menu screen.

Create a four digit PIN. Then you can easily block viewing by rating, content, channel, title and more.

Quickview

Imagine a new way to see what’s on TV where you can preview four channels at the same time. Now you can with Quickview* channels – the fastest way to see and hear what’s playing on four channels at once.

For General Entertainment, go to channel 100
For Kids' shows, go to channel 300
For the latest News, go to channel 400
For Sports, go to channel 500
For Music, go to channel 800


* HD/DVR receiver required.

Reminders

What if a little note popped up on your TV letting you know your favorite show is about to start? It can by setting a reminder.

Select your program, and then press  on your remote.

Select the  icon and press .

Just before your show is about to start, a screen will pop up with a reminder so you'll never miss a minute.

TV Ratings

You always have great shows to watch with Insight but how do you know if it is appropriate for the whole family to see? We make it easy with rating information.

Press  on your remote. You'll find the rating in the corner of the program information.
OR
If you are already watching a show, just press  on your remote. The rating will appear on the right corner of the screen.

All Children Appropriate for all children, especially those under 7. Such programs are not expected to frighten very young children.

Directed to Older Children Appropriate for children age 7 or older, who are better able to distinguish between make-believe and reality. May contain mild violence that could frighten some children younger than 7.

Directed to Older Children - Fantasy Violence For those programs where fantasy violence may be more intense or more combative than other programs in this category.

General Audiences Most parents would find this program suitable for allages. Contains little or no violence, no strong language, and little or no sexual dialogue.

Parental Guidance Suggested May contain theme or material that some parents would find unsuitable for younger children. Parents may want to view with their younger children. A TV-PG rating will also contain one or more of the following one-letter modifiers that describe the nature of the material: V (moderate violence); S (sexual situations); L (coarse language); or D (suggestive dialogue).

Mini Guide

Want to find out what else is on without leaving your program?

The Mini Guide allows you to watch television and view program listings without leaving the program you are watching or going to the full screen guide. Mini Guide is seen on the lower third of your television screen and displays two or three channels and 90 minutes of listings at a time.

To access Mini Guide, press  on your remote. Use the  keys see listings on other channels and the  to see listings at other times.

The default setting for Mini Guide is a 2 channel display. To change the display to 3 channels, go to the Main Menu (press  on your remote twice), select Setup, then Guide Setup and change Mini Guide Cell Height.
